Blackmores Echinacea Liquid can be added to drinks or food, enabling the dosage to be easily adjusted according to need. Each 1 mL dose (approximately 25 drops) provides the equivalent of 1 g of Echinacea, which has traditionally been used to relieve symptoms of cold and flu. Ideal for use by people who are unable to swallow large tablets, including children over 2 years.
Echinacea has been shown to stimulate the immune system and reduce the duration of colds and minor infections of the respiratory tract.
One of the ways that echinacea works in the immune system is by increasing the number of white blood cells. White blood cells are involved in defending the body against foreign microorganisms.
Echinacea also stimulates a group of immune system cells called phagocytes, which engulf and digest bacteria or other foreign bodies.
